Money Available for Learning Disability Projects
if you have an idea for a project which could help people with learning disabiliies, then there may be some money available to help make it happen.
The Learning Disability Development Fund (LDDF) is looked after by the Valuing People Patnership Board, and there is still some money to spend this financial yaer (before April 2009)
Projects must be to support people with learning disbility who live or work in Herefordshire, and must happen before April 2009. Priority will be given to projects which fit into the Board's 5 "Big Ideas", which are
1. Self-directed support and individualised budgets ("In Control")
2. Equality of access to health services
3. Employment and training
4. Transport
5. Feeling safe
To apply for funding, you need to fill in an application form. These are available from Paul Choppen at Herefordshire Council on 01432 260633 or
pchoppen@herefordshire.gov.uk. The deadline for applying Monday 17th November, and decisions will be made at the beginning of December.
